Summer abroad at Korea University

July 3, 2018

Korea University (고려대학교), founded in 1905, is one of South Korea’s oldest and most prominent universities. The university is part of the SKY trio, an acronym used to refer to the nation’s three most renowned universities (Seoul National, Korea University and Yonsei University).

Wide range of courses to choose from

To any international students thinking about applying, what stands out about Korea University is the abundance of subjects taught in English. They have a respectable amount of courses catered to foreigners. From language and culture to business, sociology, law, politics, humanities, science, and many more. Every year, the university holds an international summer and winter program and accepts students from all across the world.

Buddy system and cultural activities

So that you always have something to do on the weekends, Korea University provides students with cultural activities through their KU Buddy System. Some activities include Baseball (I’m going to this on Friday so I might upload a few photos in part #2 of my Korea University posts), Taekwondo, K-pop dance lessons (how many Koreaboos out there reading this right now?), trips to Lotte World, and Korean cooking classes.

Read Living on campus at Korea University to find out more about the campus, dormitories, and other facilities. You can also find out more information and apply directly to Korea University here.
